Ryan Jack has been ruled out of tomorrow evening's Europa League clash with Bayer Leverkusen at Ibrox.
The midfielder has been out of action for almost a fortnight but had hoped to be fit for his side's last-16 clash.
James Tavernier has also been missing as has striker Jermaine Defoe.
But now manager Steven Gerrard has confirmed his main midfield man Jack will NOT be available. But skipper Tav will be given as much time as possible to get himself fit.
"Gerrard said: "Ryan Jack won't make it. Defoe will be out for a couple of weeks with a calf problem. Tavernier didn't train today with a foot problem but will give him until the last minute to make it."
