CELTIC have signed a "record-breaking" kit contract deal with German giants Adidas.

The Parkhead side say the five-year agreement, which begins in July, is believed to be the biggest kit sponsorship deal ever to be announced in Scottish sport.

Adidas will create and manufacture first team kit, trainingwear as well as all supporter replica jerseys.

The announcement comes after weeks of speculation over the move with Celtic's current £25 million deal with New Balance ending this summer.

Peter Lawwell, Celtic chief executive, said: “We are delighted to enter this new, long-term partnership with adidas, one of the world’s leading sports brands. We warmly welcome adidas to the Celtic Family and look forward to an exciting and successful partnership.
