Ex-Hearts star Ryan Stevenson has recalled the moment Christian Nade sparked teammate Ian Black 'clean out' in the changing room at Celtic Park.

The Jambos were defeated at Parkhead when tensions boiled over between former Rangers man Black and Nade. The midfielder aimed a pop at the striker who initially accepted the criticism.

But when Black, 35, refused to stop snapping at his teammate, the Frenchman let him have it - punching him into lockers as Stevenson and pal Michael Stewart looked on.

"My debut at Hearts was away to Brechin and then on the Tuesday I'm sitting at Parkhead playing against Celtic," he told Si Ferry's Keeping the Ball on the Ground podcast. "The Jet [manager Jim Jefferies] and Billy [Brown] are in the changing room, Lockey [Gary Locke] is there, it was unbelievable. We got beat but I remember sitting next to Michael Stewart.

"Blacky comes in, you know how you've got the big lockers? Blacky came in and had a pop at Christian Nade. He's like, 'Nade, f***ing hold the ball up'. We're playing one up front! Nade is a good guy but his workrate isn't what it probably should be. You could see him sitting there, 'Okay, Ian'.

"Blacky is like 'Nade this, Nade that' and Nade says 'shut up, Ian'. Wee Billy is bobbing about saying, 'Do you want to stop arguing?'. The Jet is standing back in the shower letting it happen. Nade says 'f*** up, Ian, shut up'. They keep going and he turns around and goes bang, knocked him into the locker, clean out.

"I'm just sat there like what the f*** and Mikey Stewart turns to me and says, 'Welcome to Hearts'."

We told previously how Stevenson described former Celtic striker Chris Sutton - whom he played with at Chelsea - as "a bit of a bawbag".
