PARTICK THISTLE have confirmed that Mitch Austin has left Firhill after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
The Australian winger has returned to his homeland so he can be with his family.
The 28-year-old joined Thistle last summer but struggled to make much of an impact on the first team, making only two appearances after a prolonged spell on the sidelines due to injury.
A statement on the club's website thanked Austin for his services.
It read: "Mitch leaves with the thanks of everyone at Partick Thistle and with our best wishes."
