Virgil van Dijk has revealed his shock choice for the best player he played with at Celtic

The Liverpool superstar took part in a Twitter question and answer to pass some time during the coronavirus shutdown. 

And the Dutch defender was quick to put in a good word for Norwegian midfielder Johansen when quizzed about the best player he played with at Parkhead.

Virgil said: "I loved my time at Celtic and played with so many top players but a special mention to Stefan Johansen."

During his time at Celtic Johansen picked up Player of the Year for the 2014/15 season, joint Players' Player of the Year alongside Scott Brown and also landed the PFA Scotland Player of the Year award.

We told in a similar question and answer session how Van Dijk’s teammate Andy Robertson revealed his favourite memory of football.

The Hoops-daft defender recalled Celtic's run to the UEFA Cup final in 2003 and responded: "Watching Henrik Larsson scoring away to Boavista to put Celtic in to the uefa cup final!"

The Scotland captain went on to add that the Swede was his favourite player of all time and said that former Parkhead defender Virgil Van Dijk is the team-mate that he's most glad he doesn't have to play against.
