RANGERS are weighing up a move for Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster, according to reports.

The striker, 20, spent the second half of last season on loan in the English Championship, where he scored four goals in 11 games.

But now with the summer transfer window looming it is understood Jurgen Klopp will loan him out next season so that he receives some much needed first team game time.

The Scottish Sun report that Steven Gerrard’s Rangers is the preferred destination for Brewster, with European football being a major factor.

Swansea City boss Steve Cooper is also keen for Brewster to return to Swans if a deal is possible.

Brewster is a big fan of Gerrard after starring under the Ibrox boss when he looked after the Anfield club’s Under-18 side.

Klopp has already sent Ryan Kent, Sheyi Ojo and Ovie Ejaria to Ibrox in recent seasons.

Rangers have also been linked with a move for Charlton forward Lyle Taylor.

The former Falkirk and Partick Thistle striker is a wanted man after hitting 25 goals in Charlton’s promotion-winning campaign.

The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the month and has told manager Lee Bowyer he will not play on when the Sky Bet Championship resumes on June 20.
