Celtic and Rangers have not been in touch over any potential move for Peterborough's Ivan Toney.

Posh chief Barry Fry claimed that agents have been in touch to tell him both sides of the Old Firm are "very interested" but revealed he has not taken any calls personally from either club.

Herald and Times Sport understands that there has been no discussions - or even contact - from Celtic or Rangers regarding Toney who played 39 games last season in League One, scoring an impressive 26 goals.

Fry also warned that any transfer for Toney would have to be in the region of around £15million which would shatter both Glasgow outfits' transfer record, but that is unlikely.

Toney has one year remaining on his deal at Weston Homes Stadium.
