Kilmarnock are plotting a move for right-back Ari Olsen to replace Stephen O'Donnell.
Scotland cap O'Donnell departed Rugby Park at the end of his contract after spending three years there as a player and Killie are now in the hunt for his replacement.
Olsen, of Víkingur Göta in his native Faroe Islands, fits the bill as an attacking full-back with a physical presence and an impressive long throw in his arsenal.
Olsen, 21, has also represented Faroes at under-21s level as well as under-19s and 17s. He is out of contract at the end of the upcoming season and Herald and Times Sport understands he would be available for free due to a clause in his contract.
Olsen can also double as a central defender.
He previously spent time on trial at Wolves in the English Premier League and is wanted by clubs around the country. It is believed Hamilton and St Mirren have also tracked the defender.
