Odsonne Edouard has narrowly beaten Rangers rival Alfredo Morelos to SPFL striker of the season as voted for by supporters.

The pair did make the team of the year beside each other but, in terms of outright top man, Edouard pipped his counterpart to the top spot. More than 134,000 fans made their feelings known during the vote and the Frenchman won out with 46 percent compared to El Buffalo's 40 percent.

Celtic's Leigh Griffiths and Motherwell's loan star Chris Long made up the other two options and raked in five percent and two percent of the vote respectively.

Edouard bagged 28 goals in 45 matches for Celts in all competitions, maintaining his form throughout the campaign before it was cut short due to coronavirus. Morelos, meanwhile, was not quite the same player after the winter break for Rangers but still managed 29 strikes in 46 games.

In total, eight Hoops stars and three Gers men made up the SPFL Premiership team of the year from 500,000 votes.
