FALKIRK have announced that five players will leave the League One club when their contracts expire at the end of the month.

Gregor Buchanan, Michael Doyle, Louis Longridge, Denny Johnstone and Ian McShane had their deals extended until June 30 during the sporting shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic, with the Bairns confirming that all five will shortly depart the club.

Four loanees - Raffaele De Vita, Calum Ferrie, Declan McManus and David McMillan - have already returned to their parent clubs, while Falkirk have given short-term extensions to all other first-team players whose contracts were set to expire.

In a statement on the club's website, Falkirk said that they will consider whether to offer these players longer contracts "when the return date for competitive football becomes clear".

The League One runners-up also confirmed that Morgaro Gomis, Aidan Laverty, Robbie Leitch, Robbie Mutch, Conor Sammon and Josh Todd remain tied to the club until the end of the 2020/21 season or beyond.
