SCOTLAND internationalist Ryan Fraser has turned down the offer of a new short-term contract at Bournemouth - paving the way for a move elsewhere.
The 26-year-old's current deal expires at the end of June, at which point he will be allowed to leave the Premier League side on a free.
Fraser will still be eligible to play for Eddie Howe's side for their next two league fixtures but will miss the rest of the campaign, with Bournemouth's remaining seven games scheduled to go ahead in July.
The decision comes as a blow for Aberdeen, who are understood to have been due a 20 percent cut of any transfer fee should Bournemouth have decided to sell Fraser.
When Fraser leaves the Vitality Stadium, he will be free to sign for a club of his choosing - with the Dons' sell-on clause ultimately proving meaningless.
