An emotional Jurgen Klopp last night dedicated Liverpool's title win to Rangers' Steven Gerrard, Kenny Dalglish and other club legends after securing the championship for the first time in 30 years.

The German fought back happy tears after Manchester City lost 2-1 away to Chelsea, confirming his side as champions. The rampant Reds broke records, too, securing the win with seven games still to play.

Klopp was delighted to be confirmed as a winner but was quick to give a nod to all those past players who gave their all to win - and dedicated the silverware to them. "I have no words, it's unbelievable," Klopp told Sky Sports. "It's much more than I ever thought would be possible. Becoming champion with this club is absolutely incredible.

"Knowing how much Kenny supported us, it's for you as well Kenny, knowing how long you had to wait another 30 years for the club to win it. It's for Stevie who had to wait a long time and now it's for all because it's built on your soul, on the legs of Stevie. The boys admire you. It's easy for me to motivate the team because of our great history. It's unbelievable."
