Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has provided an injury update on Kieran Tierney after the left-back hobbled off against Southampton last night.

Fans were left worried about another potential long-term injury layoff for KT following issues with his hip, thigh and shoulder. Sead Kolasinac replaced the defender in the second-half of their 2-0 win at St Mary's.

Some feared the worst that Tierney's injury problems would flare up again but Spaniard Arteta blamed a lack of game time for the Scot - as well as the English weather.

He said: "Kieran was cramping. He hasn't played two games together in the last seven or eight months and he was suffering. The weather is different to Scotland and he needs to adapt to it."

We told recently how ex-Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara slaughtered the entire Gunners side over their 'embarrassing' form - EXCEPT Tierney who was the only player to get pass marks.
