FLORIAN KAMBERI is still a Hibs player, despite reports suggesting he was back at Rangers on-loan.

We told earlier how a report had indicated that Kamberi had been brought back to Ibrox for club's upcoming Europa League match against Bayer Leverkusen.

But these reports have been rubbished with the Swiss striker still training with the Easter Road club as both parties weigh up their next move.

Kamberi joined Rangers in January and impressed during limited game time before Scottish football was halted due to the coronavirus crisis.

It is unlikely that Kamberi will play for Hibs again after describing his move to Rangers in January as a "dream", which didn't go down well with the Easter Road faithful.

It is understood that Kamberi is still keen to return to Rangers if Steven Gerrard's side can get a deal over the line.

The Ibrox club are currently preparing for the second leg of their Europa league last 16 tie with Leverkusen on August 6 at the Bayer Arena.
