CRAIG GORDON insists it's "brilliant" to be back at Hearts following his Celtic exit.

Gordon, 37, linked up with the Jambos for a second time today after announcing his Parkhead exit yesterday.

The Scotland international goalie joined Robbie Neilson's side on a two-year deal and he spoke of his delight at getting the deal over the line when speaking to Hearts TV earlier this morning.

He said: "It's brilliant to come back here after so long.

"The last time I signed here was 1999 so it's been a long time but I'm very happy to be back and I can't wait to get started.

"It's been a difficult decision to put everything into place to come back here.

"When I spoke to Hearts and the history that I have here, something that I've always wanted to do was to come back.

"I have this opportunity now, it's the start of something where we really feel as if we have a project to move on with.

"The feel-good factor of the club is starting to come back and everybody is united to get us back to where we should be.

"I want to be part of that and I absolutely can't wait.

"I've seen a few familiar faces already today so it's great to be back and get to know everybody else.

"It's a special place. It's where I grew up, where I came supporting as a boy, to play out here and to come back to feel that support when fans are allowed back in again is going to be really special."
