RUDI GARCIA has confirmed that his Lyon side will face off against both Celtic and Rangers this pre-season.

The Glasgow duo are aiming to book-in friendly matches ahead of the Scottish Premiership restart and now it has been revealed that both club's will take on French opposition.

The matches will take place on July 16 and 18 at the Groupama Stadium in a tournament that also involves Nice.

Celtic have also pencilled in a match against PSG on July 22 at the Parc des Princes.

Confirming the news, Garcia said: "It's not been easy to arrange preparation friendlies and we have opted for eight weeks to prepare for the new season.

"That will include a tournament at Groupama stadium against Rangers and Celtic, with Nice being the other team.

"The thinking behind this was it was necessary to find quality opponents in leagues that have not resumed.

"We need to prepare both for the start of the new season and the Champions League game against Juventus."
