Kieran Tierney will NEVER be as good as Liverpool's Andy Robertson.

That's the view of former England midfielder Danny Murphy who has watched Robbo win the Premier League and Champions League with the Reds last season.

Arsenal favourite Tierney and Robertson are often compared to one another as players, both left-backs, but Murphy believes Robertson is miles ahead at the moment. And he reckons KT might have a job on his hands getting to that level in future.

Asked if Tierney can reach Robertson's heights, Murphy said: "No. Robertson just has an unbelievable, consistent performance level and mentality. The fitness he has got and the quality in the final third, I say no because the level is so high. He has set the bar as a left-back remarkably high. "He is in the top three in the Premier League for assists and what both fullbacks are doing at Liverpool is phenomenal.

"But Arsenal have got a really good signing there in Tierney and he is only going to improve."

We told last week how Robertson himself has found himself frustrated at both players constantly being compared to each other. Tierney cost the Gunners £25million while Scotland captain Robertson went to Anfield for an incredible £8million bargain.
