Matthew Gould, the son of former Celtic and Scotland goalkeeper Jonathan, is training with Hamilton with a view to winning a permanent move to the Premiership club.

With Luke Southwood having returned to Reading and Owain Fon Williams set to join Dunfermline, where he moved on loan in January, Brian Rice is looking for another keeper.

Gould, who currently plays for National League North club Spennymoor Town in England, is hoping to impress and earn himself a permanent deal.

The 26-year-old spent the 2015/16 season in Scotland at Livingston, during which time he was loaned out to Stenhousemuir.

He is the son of one-time Celtic keeper Jon, who won the League Cup and Premier League double with the Parkhead club in 1998, and grandson of ex-FA Cup-winning manager Bobby.
