Sky Sports' new Scottish football presenter Eilidh Barbour poked fun at herself after accidentally flubbing Odsonne Edouard's name live on telly.

The popular host named the Frenchman 'Edsonne Odouard' in a funny slip of the tongue after the broadcast of Celtic's 5-1 defeat of Hamilton at Parkhead yesterday. Having a laugh at her own expense, though, Barbour shared her thoughts on social media, holding her hands up to the fluff.

She said: "You heard it here first.... #EdsonneOduard 🙈😂 Live telly, you’ve got to love it 😬". Fans were quick to applaud her self-deprecation and laughed it off with her. One said: "It was a belter to be fair, glad u see the funny side".

Another commented: "Had a good laugh at this.......you got it right after the break though....and you are a good broadcaster." One added: "Lol hopefully it confuses any teams trying to buy him!" A fourth wrote: "Don't worry about it. Anyone can make a wee verbal slip. Enjoy the season".

Barbour, stood next to Celtic heroes Martin O'Neill and John Hartson, was also let off the hook by one supporter, who replied to a clip of the moment: "If a wiz standing next tae Martin O’Neill a would be a slabbering wreck tae".
