Ex-Rangers and Celtic target Matthew Knox will join Warrenpoint Town in Northern Ireland's Danske Bank Premier League.
Knox's most recent spell was with Brechin City after being touted for big moves in the past. The playmaker even had spells on trial at some of Europe's biggest clubs including Manchester United. Mark Warburton was a huge fan of Knox during his spell as Gers manager and attempted to sign him whilst at Livingston.
Now 20-years-old, Knox has opted to move to Warrenpoint where he feels he can get his career back on track following a few years of uncertainty. He had been close to signing for Halifax Town in England's National League before the Covid-19 crisis.
The attacking midfielder is to sign a one-year deal at the club. Herald and Times Sport understands the youngster had the option of a second year but opted to stick with one, with scope to reevaluate further down the line.
