FORMER Celtic striker Chris Sutton has joked that the 2020/21 Premiership season is already over after his old club fell to a flat 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock yesterday afternoon.

A Ryan Christie free-kick from distance seemed to send Neil Lennon's men on their way to three points at Rugby Park before Chris Burke levelled the scores and Killie held on for a valuable point.

Taking to social media after the game, Sutton congratulated Alex Dyer's side on the result - and joked that the two points dropped meant this year's Premiership is already a foregone conclusion.

"Flat from Celtic. Well played Kilmarnock," he wrote on Twitter.

"That’s the league over already then..."
