Boli Bolingoli has been blasted by both Andros Townsend and former Premier League striker Darren Bent after breaking strict quarantine rules with his secret Spain trip.
Crystal Palace winger Townsend and ex-Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa hitman Bent were both perplexed at the Celtic defender's actions and decision to jet off to Spain for one day before failing to self-isolate and playing in Sunday's draw with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
Bolingoli's manager Neil Lennon was livid and let the player know, in no uncertain terms, that he had broken the rules and faces serious punishment. And Chris Sutton slaughtered the Belgian for 'not giving a s***' about his teammates. And now the further world of football, from the outside looking in, has had their say.
Neither Townsend nor Bent could believe the scenario. The latter branded it 'schoolboy' during an interview with talkSPORT. He said: "Flying out of Glasgow? Come on, that is just schoolboy that." And Townsend added: "It's the obliviousness. If you knew you were going to break the law, you would fly into London and drive up to Glasgow.
"But you have two of the most passionate set of fans in Glasgow, it's just obliviousness."
