Former Celtic striker Marc-Antoine Fortuné has dismissed suggestions that he has switched Old Firm allegiances after supporting Kemar Roofe following his Rangers debut.

Roofe stepped off the bench for his first appearance as a Gers player in last night's 3-0 win over St Johnstone. The ex-Leeds United and Anderlecht frontman played 30 minutes but was unable to add to the scoring. And he was disappointed with himself on the whistle.

Posting on his social media, Roofe said: "Proud moment for me making my debut at Ibrox with a good team performance and 3 points. I'm disappointed in my performance but I will continue to work hard in training to regain my fitness to get back up to speed." It didn't take long for fellow pros to pile on with the support.

And Fortuné, a former teammate of Roofe's at West Brom, urged the striker to keep his head up. After commenting on the photo, one Rangers fan asked, "You converted to the good side big man?" to which the Frenchman replied: "Nope ,lol...just always there for my boys wherever they play," accompanied by a four-leaf clover.

Fortuné spent a season at Parkhead after joining under Tony Mowbray for close to £4million. He played 32 times, scoring 10 goals.
