CRAIG CONWAY reckons the early signs are positive for St Johnstone this season as Callum Davidson makes his mark at McDiarmid Park.
The Saints have endured a frustrating start to the campaign after their game with Aberdeen was postponed last week and they were denied the chance to build on an opening day draw against Dundee United.
There were reasons to be encouraged during the 3-0 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox and midfielder Conway is eager to forge some momentum over the coming weeks.
Conway said: “The manager has been working on the shape. It is a new formation and as the weeks go on we are really nailing it on and I think it worked at Ibrox for long spells of the game. We will keep working on that and I think you will see it improve over the coming weeks.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances it has been a frustrating couple of weeks for us. We seem to have been the victim of everything else.
“We have a chance now and a few games coming up. We have Kilmarnock and the Aberdeen game as well.
“We have a few games in a short spell of time but if we can build on the Rangers performance and carry on then I don’t think we will be far away.”
