Celtic have completed the signing of Motherwell's David Turnbull.

The midfielder was confirmed by the Hoops' social media account this afternoon. It is believed to be worth around £3million to the SteelMen.

He has signed a four-year contract with Glasgow's champions.

Turnbull, of course, was set to sign for Celts last year before a failed medical scuppered the move. It also forced the 21-year-old out of action for a number of months after requiring surgery.

The saga disappointed the player, however he told his new club's official website that he is delighted to finally get the deal over the line on a 'dream'.

He beamed: "I'm absolutely delighted to be here, especially after what happened last year, and I'm ready to hit the ground running. I feel I've started well this season and I want to carry that on with Celtic.

"It's great to join the biggest club in Scotland and I want to help us win more silverware in what I know is an important season for Celtic."

Turnbull was recently hailed as one of the best youngsters Scottish football has EVER produced by 'Well boss Stephen Robinson. New teammate Callum McGregor also admitted he'd love the midfielder to join up at Parkhead.
