FORMER Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic has returned to Croatia to join NK Lokomotiva.
Jelavic became a hero to the Ibrox crowd during his successful two years stint in Light Blue.
He turned out for Everton, Hull and West Ham United south of the border and is now back playing in his homeland after a spell in China.
Jelavic said: "After 13 years, I returned to the HNL. Nostalgia and the desire to be with my family in Zagreb ruled. Although I recently turned 35, I can help the team with my games and advice and guide young players.
"Lokomotiva played the best football in the league last season , I believe that as time goes on, it will get better and better.
"A two-week HNL break due to national team matches will come in handy, in order to fit in better with the game team and hone its form. "
