Former Rangers target Bongani Zungu has fanned the flames of a potential switch to Ibrox after insisting he no longer plays for Amiens.
The South African midfielder was on Steven Gerrard's shortlist of potential new recruits in recent times.
It had even been claimed Zungu and the club had discussed personal terms before the deal went south when it was suggested the player appeared overweight and out of shape.
No I’m not

But Zungu has perhaps not yet given up on a move to Glasgow and, when asked to clarify if he was still playing in Ligue 2, he gave an emphatic response.
"No I'm not," he told social media when posed with the question if he still played for Amiens.
Gers could return to the table for Zungu, potentially, after both Ryan Jack and Brandon Barker hobbled off against Dundee United at the weekend. Gerrard even hinted he'd be hoping to do transfer business as a matter of urgency with Europa League football on the horizon.
