ANTHONY STOKES could call time on his Livingston contract – just three weeks after signing for the Scottish Premiership outfit.
The former Celtic and Hibs striker signed for the Lions earlier this window as Gary Holt aimed to fill the void of Scotland international Lyndon Dykes.
But it is understood that Stokes is struggling to grow accustomed to Livi's artificial surface and that could force him out the club without playing a single minute.
Speaking last week about Stokes, boss Gary Holt said: "We’re getting there with him. We played a bounce game and he played half the game and had a wee niggle and he has been trying to get through it.
“Some days he’s the Anthony Stokes we all know, others he’s saying it’s a but much. We took the conscious decision to sit down and have a chat about it and decide we need two of three weeks of conditioning.
“We need to get him right. We can’t have him feeling good one day and not good the next."
