John McGinn has slapped down Gary Breen over his claims signing for Celtic would harm Shane Duffy's Ireland chances.
McGinn branded the former a 'donkey' after he suggested Duffy has taken a step-back by joining the Premiership. He claimed Duffy 'could pick up bad habits' and that the quality in Scotland's top flight would not challenge the defender enough. He also claimed "not one" striker playing in Scotland could do the business in the Premier League.

Chris Sutton slaughtered Breen recently and had his say again on Twitter, insisting the league has been good enough for the likes of Henrik Larsson and Virgil van Dijk. And McGinn added his thoughts, simply replying: "Donkey," in reference to Breen.
We told how Sutton, Pierre van Hooijdonk and Hoops manager Neil Lennon have all made their feelings known regarding Breen's comments. Lennon described them as 'unfounded' with 'no substance to them'.
