BOBBY ZLAMAL 8

Stand-in keeper could do nothing about the Celtic goals, and kept game alive by saving Edouard penalty. Couple of really good stops over and above that too.

MARCUS FRASER 6

Picked up a booking for a late one on Brown, which was a sign of his committed approach throughout.

JOE SHAUGHNESSY 7

Centre-half defended resolutely and used the ball well enough too.

CONOR MCCARTHY 6

Big defender stuck to is task and helped marshal the backline under severe pressure at times.

RICHARD TAIT 6

Showed typical energy and endeavour down the left. Continued impressive start to St Mirren career.

JUNIOR MORIAS 6

Tried hard down the right-hand side, but lacked a bit of quality and was often loose with his passing.

SAM FOLEY 6

Skipper led by example and battled for everything.

ETHAN ERHAHON 6

Helped out by screening in front of defence, but had little influence on the ball.

JAMIE MCGRATH 6

Wicked delivery from corner to give Erwin the easy task of tapping home for early lead, but bundled Christie over for penalty. Luckily for him, Edouard missed it.

DYLAN CONNOLLY 7

Showed good pace and directness down the left before tiring and being replaced by McAllister. Perhaps St Mirren’s biggest danger in opening hour.

LEE ERWIN 7

Fairytale opening to his first start for the club, bundling home in the opening minutes. Led line well.

SUBSTITUTES

KYLE MCALLISTER (for Connolly, 64’) 4

Poor corner delivery, but tried hard to spark his side into action in the hunt for an equaliser.

JONATHAN OBIKA (for Morias, 80’) 3

Thrown on as Jim Goodwin went two up top in search for a leveller, but couldn’t sniff out a chance.

ILKAY DURMUS (for Foley, 90’) N/A

Last throw of the dice, but couldn’t get involved.
