MOTHERWELL and Aberdeen booked their spots in the third qualifying round of the Europa League on Thursday evening with wins over Coleraine and Viking respectively.
The Steelmen survived a second-half scare to see off the Northern Irishman on penalties, with Trevor Carson saving all three Coleraine spot-kicks to tee up a tie with Israel's Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the next round.
Aberdeen, meanwhile, will be heading to Lisbon to take on Sporting after Derek McInnes' men saw off Viking with a 2-0 win in Norwat on Thursday evening.
The results mean that both sides will be in the hat for today's play-off draw and, should they manage to make it through to the final qualifying round, they will have a one-legged tie to overcome to reach the group stages of the tournament.
Should the Dons make it past Sporting, they will be drawn against one of the following sides:
LASK, Dunajska Streda, Rosenborg, Alanyaspor, Kolos Kovalivka, Rijeka.
As for 'Well, they will be paired alongside one of the following teams in the play-off, should they reach that stage:
Basel, Besiktas, Viktoria Plzen, Anorthosis, Sonderjyske, Rio Ave.
