Nottingham Forest have tested Aberdeen's resolve by submitting a 'significant offer' for Scott McKenna.
The Scotland centre-half has been the subject of a bid from the Championship side, as confirmed by manager Derek McInnes earlier today.
The Dons posted confirmation on their social media channels earlier, saying: "Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes confirmed on RedsTV that the club has received a significant offer for Scott McKenna.
"This is now being dealt with by the chairman and the relevant club."
Celtic have been credited with an interest in Scotland cap McKenna in recent times as have QPR under Mark Warburton.
