Boli Bolingoli made his Istanbul Besaksahir debut from the bench yesterday evening but could not help his side to victory as they lost 2-0 at home to Galatasaray.
The Belgian defender replaced Hasan Ali Kaldırım after roughly an hour of action with his side 1-0 down thanks to a strike from Radamel Falcao. But Bolingoli could only watch on as Younes Belhanda doubled the visitors' lead to seal the points.
Bolingoli will no doubt be desperate to improve his and his side's form as the left-back has a permanent transfer clause in his loan deal which will allow Besaksahir to sign him outright should his initial spell work out for both parties.
It is believed the defender's Celtic career is over after he broke strict quarantine rules for an inexplicable day trip to Spain without telling anyone at the club. He then played for the Hoops against Kilmarnock less than one week later, putting the Premiership campaign at risk as well as the health and wellbeing of staff and players at both clubs.
Neil Lennon told how he was livid with the player and an internal probe was launched. He signed a one-year loan deal in Turkey's Super Lig a short time later.
