BORNA BARISIC admits football has become a 'boring' experience without fans this season as he laments the loss of the Rangers support.

Steven Gerrard's side return to Premiership action against Motherwell this weekend after a behind closed doors victory over Willem II in the Europa League.

There will be no crowd inside Ibrox for what would have been an exhilarating occasion against Galatasaray next Thursday and Barisic is sad at the ongoing situation.

He said: "I think it is a bonus because we play at home but without the fans is so different and it is something that I miss so much.

"It is so different to play without fans. When we started the season in the first few games, you think ‘OK, OK’.

"But now it starts to be very boring without the fans because they always push you and the crowd energy, especially when we play our home games.

"I honestly miss fans so much that I cannot explain. I think that everyone has the same feeling."
