CELTIC PLAYER RATINGS

VASILIS BARKAS 6

Had very little to do.

GREG TAYLOR 7

Grew into the game and posed more of a threat going forward.

KRISTOFFER AJER 7

Assured performance was rewarded with a clean sheet.

SHANE DUFFY 6

Allowed Christian Doidge and Kevin Nisbet to take shots in the first-half. But he blocked a Nisbet shot late on.

NIR BITTON 7

Retained his place on the right side of the Celtic back three and was outstanding.

JEREMIE FRIMPONG 8

The wing back was one of Celtic’s best performers for the second time in four days. Excelled on the overlap.

SCOTT BROWN 7

Pulled the strings in the middle of the park.

CALLUM MCGREGOR 7

Opened the scoring with a low shot from outside the Hibs box.

RYAN CHRISTIE 7

Supplied McGregor before the home team’s first goal and then helped to set up their second.

MOHAMED ELYOUNOUSSI 7

Started up front alongside Ajeti. Tested Ofir Marciano before his former Basel team mate netted. Coolly slotted home the third.

ALBIAN AJETI 6

Showed good instincts to net his fifth goal in 10 appearances. Pulled his hamstring celebrating and hobbled off.

SUBSTITUTES

ODSONNE EDOUARD (for Ajeti, 37) 6

No goals, but much better.

DAVID TURNBULL (for Christie, 46) 6

Superb. He tested Marciano with a long-range shot and sent Elyounoussi through for the third.

PATRYK KLIMALA (for Elyounoussi, 82) 2

Injected energy to Celtic’s attacks late on.

OLIVIER NTCHAM (for Brown, 82) 2

Hardly involved.

ISMALIA SORO (for McGregor, 86) 3

Quickly got stuck in.

HIBERNIAN PLAYER RATINGS

OFIR MARCIANO 8

Could do little about any of the Celtic goals. Denied Nir Bitton, Scott Brown, David Turnbull, Callum McGregor and Odsonne Edouard after half-time to keep the scoreline respectable.

PAUL MCGINN 7

The right back quickly snuffed out any attempted Celtic attacks down his flank. Headed an Edouard effort off his line.

RYAN PORTEOUS 5

Had his work cut out against Mohammed Elyounoussi and Albian Ajeti and then Odsonne Edouard. Won’t have many harder afternoons.

PAUL HANLON 6

The Hibs captain worked hard to keep the final scoreline respectable and made some important blocks.

JOSH DOIG 5

The youngster struggled to contain his fellow teenager Jeremie Frimpong.

MARTIN BOYLE 6

Caused Celtic problems with his deliveries from out wide. Fired just over from outside the Celtic box at 2-0.

ALEX GOGIC 6

Worked hard to win the ball in the middle of the park and protect his defence.

JOE NEWELL 5

The central midfielder was unable to exert any great influence on proceedings.

DREY WRIGHT 5

Didn’t get out quickly enough to block Callum McGregor’s shot at the opening goal.

CHRISTIAN DOIDGE 6

Skimmed the crossbar with a shot after being teed up by Kevin Nisbet in the first-half.

KEVIN NISBET 6

Skinned Shane Duffy to supply Doidge and then outmuscled the Republic of Ireland centre half and got an attempt away.

SUBSTITUTES

LEWIS STEVENSON (for Doig, 46) 4

Decent. His experience helped the visitors.

JAMIE MURPHY (for Wright, 53) 3

The Rangers loanee whipped some dangerous balls into the Celtic area.

STEVIE MALLAN (for Doidge, 83) 2

Came on with Hibs trailing 3-0.
