RANGERS PLAYER RATINGS

ALLAN MCGREGOR 6

Had a quiet night. Got a hand to Marcao’s late header, but was unable to keep it out.

JAMES TAVERNIER 8

The right back dealt with the threat posed by former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel proficiently. Headed home his seventh goal in as many games in the second-half.

CONNOR GOLDSON 8

Got a header on target at a Borna Barisic corner early on. Made crucial tackles on Radamel Falcao in both halves.

FILIP HELANDER 7

Good in the air in both penalty boxes.

BORNA BARISIC 7

Restored to the Rangers starting line-up after sitting out the Motherwell game. Supplied his fellow full-back Tavernier for the second.

SCOTT ARFIELD 8

Netted his first European goal early in the second-half. His run and finish with the outside of his right foot were both superb.

STEVEN DAVIS 7

A composed presence in the middle of the park.

GLEN KAMARA 6

Sliced an ambitious attempt well wide in the opening 45 minutes.

IANIS HAGI 7

Came back in to face his famous father Gheorghe’s former club. His old man would have been proud of the assist for the opening goal.

ALFREDO MORELOS 6

Strayed offside unnecessarily at times. But the Colombian striker worked hard from start to finish. Tested Fatih Ozturk with a second-half header.

RYAN KENT 7

Looked the player most likely to make something happen for the home team in the first-half.

SUBSTITUTES

RYAN JACK (for Hagi, 77) 3

Made his comeback after three weeks out with a calf injury.

CEDRIC ITTEN (for Morelos, 87) 2

Hardly involved.
