RANGERS
JON MCLAUGHLIN 6
Had little to do as he replaced Allan McGregor and recorded another clean sheet.
JAMES TAVERNIER 8
Made it eight goals from as many games with a clinical penalty. Another impressive showing.
CONNOR GOLDSON 7
Solid defensively and should have done better at the other end as he headed over twice in the first half.
LEON BALOGUN 7
Back in the side as he replaced Filip Helander and rarely put a foot wrong.
BORNA BARISIC 7
Always looked a threat down the left flank but was forced off early after receiving treatment for a knock.
RYAN JACK 7
Returned to the starting line-up and performed well as he gave Scotland boss Steve Clarke a boost.
GLEN KAMARA 7
Set to be rewarded a new deal and was an accomplished performer once again here.
SCOTT ARFIELD 7
Put in another terrific shift but didn’t see his efforts rewarded with a goal.
JORDAN JONES 6
Deserved his start after impressing against Motherwell but couldn’t offer as much here on a low-key afternoon.
RYAN KENT 7
Saw plenty of the ball but couldn’t make possession count often enough in the final third.
ALFREDO MORELOS 7
Should have put Rangers out of sight but spurned a couple of good chances.
Substitutes:
CALVIN BASSEY 5
(for Barisic, 65) Dependable after taking over at left-back.
IANIS HAGI 5
(for Jack, 65) Some nice touches to give Rangers more threat.
BRANDON BARKER 5
(for Jones, 70) Made sure of the win with a low finish three minutes from time.
STEVEN DAVIS 3
(for Kent, 82) Helped Rangers see the game out.
ROSS COUNTY
ROSS LAIDLAW 7
No chance with Tavernier’s penalty but made a couple of smart stops to keep County in it for as long.
REGAN CHARLES-COOK 6
Was up against it dealing with Barisic and Kent and was found out at times.
COLL DONALDSON 7
Gave away the penalty as he tangled with Morelos but made a goal-saving tackle early in the second half. Should have scored with a header.
CALLUM MORRIS 7
Booked in the first half and headed wide late on but a good showing overall from the stopper.
ALEX IACOVITTI 7
Will be disappointed to concede twice as he marshalled the County defence well.
JOSH REID 7
Didn’t shirk the challenge in a compelling tussle with Tavernier. Did well overall.
HARRY PATON 7
Tough task in the middle of the park but stuck to it well and impressed.
JORDAN TILSON 7
Put himself about and showed plenty of endeavour to drive County on.
ROSS DRAPER 7
Had to be sacrificed to give County more of a threat but can be pleased with a solid showing.
MICHAEL GARDYNE 7
Grafted away as he looked to get County going in an attacking sense. Good effort overall.
ROSS STEWART 7
Powerful striker looked a handful at times but couldn’t make the most of openings when it really mattered.
Substitutes:
JERMAIN HYLTON 4
(for Draper, 72) Looked bright as he made his County bow off the bench.
BILLY MCKAY 2
(for Gardyne, 82) Late throw of the dice that didn’t pay off for the visitors.
