Celtic reportedly missed out on a potential windfall for Moussa Dembele last week after Lyon rejected an offer from Tottenham for the striker.
The Hoops have a sell-on clause in his contract after allowing him to depart for near-£20million.
But Lyon reportedly knocked back an offer from Spurs who hoped to sign the Frenchman - leaving Celts cursing their luck as they stand to earn around 10 percent of any fee earned from a move.
GetFootballFrance report Jose Mourinho wanted Dembele but, when rebuffed, went for Carlos Vinicius instead.
We told recently how Chelsea had also been keeping tabs on Dembele as well as Manchester United. And Barcelona were also interested in the ex-Parkhead hitman, with Henrik Larsson now the assistant to Ronald Koeman at Camp Nou.
Neil Lennon's side do still stand to earn a tidy sum from any sale of Dembele down the line, but they could have been doing with some cash as deadline day winds down and there is still, seemingly, some business to be done in Glasgow.
