THE SFA/SPFL Joint Response Group (JRG) are expected to announce later tonight that a package of financial support will be made available to clubs following a breakthrough in talks with the Scottish Government, according to the Daily Record.
The report says sports minister Joe FitzPatrick met with representatives from Scottish football's governing bodies at Holyrood earlier this afternoon and the two parties have reached an agreement.
The precise details of the financial assistance is not yet known at the time of writing, but the Record say that "FitzPatrick has confirmed that a cash bail-out is on the way to help clubs survive without supporters", adding that "a new consensus has also been reached to work out a road map on how and when fans can be safely allowed to return to grounds around the country".
