RYAN FRASER is confident Scotland can continue building on the positives when they face the Czech Republic in their final warm-up clash for the Euros shoot-out with Serbia.

Steve Clarke’s side booked their place in the play-off final with a dramatic win over Israel last week as keeper David Marshall was the penalty hero at Hampden.

It was striker Lyndon Dykes that had the biggest influence against Slovakia on Sunday night as he netted his second goal in dark blue to take Scotland top of their Nations League group.

The visit of the Czechs on Wednesday will round off this tranche of international fixtures and then Fraser knows the focus will really sharpen as sights are set on the date with destiny against Serbia.

Fraser said: “We worked hard. With the other game going 120 minutes, some of the lads needed a bit of freshening up.

“The boys who came in did really well. It would have been easy just to win the game against Israel and not concentrate on this game.

“But we showed that we were the better team and, on another day, we could have scored two or three. There was a lot of positives.

“I was just trying to influence the game in any way I possibly could.

“I’ve never really played as striker before so it was different for me – but I tried to do my best.

“That’s unbeaten in seven, top of the group, which is brilliant.

“If we get a win against the Czech Republic, we can get momentum heading into next month – which is needed.

“Everyone is thinking about next month. But you need to be professional.

“The game the other night was hard fought but it’s behind us now.

“We’re through to the final now - and we need to go and win this group.

“Every game you pull the Scotland jersey on, it doesn’t matter if it’s a friendly or a qualifier, you give your all.”
