ROMANIA were on the receiving end of a drubbing from Norway in the Nations League on Sunday night - and Rangers midfielder Ianis Hagi is in no doubt as to who should shoulder the blame.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haland bagged a hat-trick for the Norwegians with Alexander Sorloth adding another in the 4-0 defeat for Hagi's side, with the 21-year-old not holding back in his post-match interview.

The playmaker said the tactics deployed by national team manager Mirel Radoi left the players tired and unable to make the most of the chances that fell their way - insisting that only the Romania boss can explain his side's below-par performance.

Hagi said: "It is a result we did not expect. It is a big disappointment but this is not the face of the national team.

"If we complain after every match, even after painful results, it's not good. We just have to look to the national team's next match.

"You should ask the manager about why we didn't have chances.

"You run after the ball for four or five minutes then when you have it at your feet you can't do anything. You lose your energy, your breath, and all you can do is draw a foul.

"We are at the beginning of the road with the new coach and we could not apply on the field what is transmitted to us from the sidelines. I'm very upset so I don't want to say anything stupid.

"Football is a collective sport. We didn't play well, you could feel it on the pitch and I'm sure you could see it on TV.

"When you don't play well collectively you can't be efficient individually. But I think we have players who can make a difference."
