Some Celtic fans have flocked to Boli Bolingoli's Instagram to urge the full-back to return to Parkhead after yesterday's defeat to Rangers.

The shamed Hoops defender was sent on loan toĀ Istanbul Basaksehir in Turkey after he failed to quarantine following a secret trip to Spain, just hours before Neil Lennon's team faced Kilmarnock earlier this season.

Greg Taylor has since been the man that Celtic have opted for in the left-back position, but yesterday summer signing Diego Laxalt was awarded his debut in the Glasgow derby.

It is fair to say that Hoops fans weren't overly impressed by his display as Celts lost 2-0 against their bitter rivals and now some have offered their forgivness to Bolingoli in the hope that he may return to Scotland.

The former Rapid Vienna man took to Instagram yesterday as Istanbul defeated Trabzonspor 2-0.

He posted a photo of himself alongside the caption: "Great team performance! Up to the nextšŸ’Ŗ"

Some Celtic fans then responded with their calls for Bolingoli to return.

One wrote: "Come back please i beg I can take laxalt or Taylor any longeršŸ˜šŸ˜"

Another posted: "All is forgiven Boli come back please."

A third said: "Right we forgive you, up the road."

And a fourth added: "Come home Boli we forgive you."
