Aberdeen are facing a sweat over the fitness of Jonny Hayes and Ryan Edmondson ahead of Celtic's visit this coming weekend.
The Dons earned a 4-2 win over Hamilton Accies in Premiership action last night but manager Derek McInnes was left disappointed to see two of his top stars hobble off with the champions heading to Pittodrie this weekend.
Edmondson - on loan from Leeds - finally found his feet as an Aberdeen player, netting himself a double in the victory last night. And with Sam Cosgrove still out, the striker could be a big miss. Ross McCrorie and Ash Taylor also both picked up slight niggles.
McInnes, speaking after the game, said: "Jonny will get a scan. He's feeling his groin and he did the right thing coming off. Edmondson rolled his ankle and Ash Taylor and Ross McCrorie had a couple of knocks, but Jonny's most at risk."
Celtic, meanwhile, still have doubts over Odsonne Edouard, Hatem Elhamed and Nir Bitton who all are likely to miss this Thursday's Europa League clash at home to AC Milan. It is not yet known whether they will be fit for Pittodrie on Sunday. One player who is likely to return is Ryan Christie after missing Rangers over Covid-19 controversy.
