Borna Barisic is a doubt ahead of this weekend's clash against Livingston after picking up a knock against Standard Liege yesterday evening.
The Croatian internationalist was forced off in Europa League action fairly early on to be replaced by Calvin Bassey at left-back. Manager Steven Gerrard insists the club will take all the necessary precautions to avoid aggravating the knock. And he is unlikely to feature against the Lions on Sunday.
Though Gerrard refused to rule out a potential cameo appearance. "We've got a couple of kicks, bumps and bruises that we're dealing with," the Ibrox boss said. "We should be fine in terms of getting through, there's three or four, but we're not too concerned about them.
"The only concern at the moment would be Barisic. I'd say he's a doubt where we are right now. We're going to image him just to be as a precaution this afternoon, it's not a big problem and there's still a chance he could pull through but we'll check it out in more detail this afternoon."
