Celtic's Diego Laxalt made a bit of history yesterday evening, completing the most amount of tackles in a Europa League in at least five years.
The defender was one of the standout performers for the Hoops against Lille in the 2-2 draw with his solid defensive showing and his desire to attack and get forward when possible.
According to stats site SofaScore, the on-loan AC Milan star completed 13 tackles throughout the 90 minutes, beating the previous record of 11 in the one game. Tweeting after the game, SofaScore wrote: "FUN FACT - Diego Laxalt has just become the first player since at least the start of 2015/16 to record 13 tackles in a single Europa League match - no other player recorded more than 11.

The post racked up thousands of likes and shares and plenty of Hoops fans were delighted for the Uruguayan. One said: "He's been brilliant since he signed," as another added: "Dont know anything bout him but he is impressing me dont think hes had much football recently so gotta give him a chance".
Moi Elyounoussi netted a double to give Celtic a 2-0 lead at half-time before they conceded twice in the second-half to draw 2-2.
