FORMER Rangers striker Kris Boyd has caused a stir on social media after questioning why last season's Scottish Cup hasn't been scrapped.
In his column for the Scottish Sun, Boyd asked why the 2019/20 edition of the tournament was still going ahead by arguing that with no fans at this weekend's games, the Scottish FA will make no money from gate receipts - something he claims was a key factor in their decision.
Never one to shy away from a dig on social media, ex-Hoops striker Chris Sutton then waded into the debate by retweeting Boyd's article - and suggested that there might be another reason that the former Ibrox hero wants the Cup to be called off.
Posting on Twitter, Sutton wrote: "Kris Boyd questioning why last season’s Scottish Cup is being finished."
