Shane Duffy looks to be in the clear after two Ireland teammates tested positive for coronavirus.

James McClean and Matt Doherty both returned positive tests this week following ROI's 1-0 defeat to Wales during which the pair started alongside the Celtic defender.

They have both now been ordered into self-isolation but the Irish FA confirmed all their other players have returned negative tests since, including Duffy.

A Football Association of Ireland statement said: “The Football Association of Ireland can confirm Ireland defender Matt Doherty and forward James McClean have tested positive for COVID-19.

“The players have been isolated from the group as per COVID-19 protocols, and the HSE have been informed of this development.

“The rest of the staff and squad tested negative ahead of the flight back to Dublin this morning before the UEFA Nations League match against Bulgaria on Wednesday.”

It comes as Celtic face a sweat over the availability of their Norwegian stars Moi Elyounoussi and Kris Ajer after a teammate of theirs also picked up the virus.

Though it is believed they are likely to be available for this weekend's game against Hibs.
