Rangers-daft wrestling superstar Drew McIntyre brought Scottish pride to the US last night after sealing the WWE championship.

The grappler skelped Randy Orton with his traditional RKO and then Claymore Kick finisher before picking up the victory. But it was his mid-match antics that had fans buzzing as he managed to sneak in 'Yes Sir, I Can Boogie' before sealing the win.

Proud McIntyre's nod to the Scottish national team qualifying for Euro 2020 was picked up by BT Sport's WWE account which tweeted: "Oh yes Sir, Drew can boogie, boogie woogie, all night long! Class".

Gers even congratulated the Ayr native after 'one of their own' won the second WWE title of his long career.

In an exclusive sit down interview with McIntyre back in August, Glasgow Times learned his dream match would be against The Rock in a WrestleMania event held inside a packed Ibrox crowd.

He said: "I’d love to face The Rock anywhere, but if there was one place on earth it would be a WrestleMania at Ibrox. That would be great for personal reasons.

“It would probably have to be Hampden, we’d need somewhere massive. If he chose to come back for a match, as the biggest Box Office attraction in the world, wow. Come on, Rock, give me that match.”
