RANGERS have received a double Europa League boost after Benfica duo Darwen Nunez and Julian Weigl tested positive for Coronavirus.
The Portuguese giants will make the trip to Ibrox on Thursday night as Steven Gerrard's side look to take control of Group D and maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign.
Rangers squandered a two goal lead at the Estádio da Luz earlier this month as Nunez netted a last minute equaliser in the third group stage fixture.
The Uruguayan started the World Cup qualifier defeat to Brazil on Tuesday and has subsequently provided a positive Covid test that will rule him out of the Ibrox clash this week.
German midfielder Weigl will also be missing for boss Jorge Jesus as he begins his recovery from Coronavirus ahead of the Portuguese Cup clash with Paredes on Saturday.
Jesus will also be without André Almeida, Todibo, Pedrinho and Nuno Tavares as Benfica return to domestic action ahead of their crunch Europa clash with the Light Blues.
