OFIR MARCIANO 8

The Israeli keeper denied Ryan Christie twice in the first half and Odsonne Edouard twice in the second.

SEAN MACKIE 8

Excellent. Dealt with the threat posed by Jeremie Frimpong down his flank and got upfield when play allowed.

PAUL HANLON 7

Was untroubled by first Albian Ajeti and then Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths. Unlucky not to lead his side to a victory.

RYAN PORTEOUS 7

The centre half was fortunate Diego Laxalt didn’t punish his hesitancy early on. Then got skinned by Ryan Christie. But he recovered to enjoy a fine game.

PAUL MCGINN 6

Had his work cut out containing Laxalt. Stuck to his task. Was unfortunate to handle and give away a penalty.

MARTIN BOYLE 7

Played up front alongside Kevin Nisbet and looked a threat whenever he got on the ball.

JOE NEWELL 6

Volleyed wide of the Celtic goal just before half-time. Played some defence-splitting passes to Nisbet.

ALEX GOGIC 7

Broke down Celtic attacks at source. Was untroubled by either Scott Brown or Callum McGregor.

STEVIE MALLAN 6

Set up Boyle with a chip over the Celtic defence early on. Failed to build on that. The midfielder, though, never stopped trying.

KEVIN NISBET 7

His second-half penalty was easily saved by Scott Bain. Atoned by burying a Murphy flick-on into the bottom right corner shortly after.

JAMIE MURPHY 8

Did well to pounce after Scott Bain had saved Boyle’s spot kick to score his first Hibernian goal. Then turned provider to set up Nisbet.

SUBSTITUTES
